If you want to conveniently obtain cheaper prescription medicines faster in private, you have the prescription online pharmacy as a good alternative to regular drugstores. They sell such medicines in addition to many others, and do it in high confidentiality and quickly as well. Nobody needs to know you are buying such medicines if you do not them to know. There are people who like poking their noses at other people’s affairs, especially if they are neighbors.
But, not everything is rosy in the matter of purchasing from an online prescription pharmacy. There are online pharmacies that look and feel legitimate, yet sell wrong dosage, illegally imported, and even totally fake medicines to the unwary. It is thus advisable to determine the authenticity of your choice online pharmacy to avoid such misfortunes.
At the outset, you should be very familiar with your medicine in terms of appearance, brand, name and other information as much as you can. Do not try substitutes, generic nor same-name drugs with different, or just even different-looking, packaging, even if the site says your medicine is called so in another country. They might be fakes. For medicines you need immediately, like for ministering to cuts and asthma attacks, proceed to the nearest pharmacy and buy from there, not online.
Next, search online and choose several pharmacies that sell your medicine in the correct dosage. See if the displayed medicine is identical in every way with what you use, and note the price. Any difference in the appearance of the packaging, rock-bottom low prices, or incorrect information on the label is reason for you to eliminate the website from your list. Make a final list of maximum five sites. Refrain from buying your medicines through unsolicited sources, such as offers coming via spam emails or pop-ups while you are searching online.
Next, minutely go over the websites and compare the appearance, contents and what the sites say. Note particularly the stated addresses for checking up if this is warranted. Verification of the addresses may be necessary to know if the addresses themselves exist. Contact the Board of Pharmacy of the state where the address is purported to be, and inquire if such an address exist and the pharmacy is truly located there. Alternatively, you can check the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPS) website if it lists your chosen online pharmacy. There are, however, legitimate online pharmacies that are not listed in the VIPPS.
Finally, you can ask your doctor, your colleagues, officemates and anybody else you can get hold of. Inquire about their experiences in buying medicines online and if they ever used the sites you shortlisted. Some may recommend sites they use, while others may disparage other sites they had bad experience using. If you suspect that a site is selling illegal, adulterated, wrong-dosage, or phony medicine, drop it from the shortlist. There are lots to choose from, and one webstore is not grievous loss for you.
There are many benefits in buying your prescription drugs online including convenience, low prices, and confidentiality, as compared to acquiring them from the local pharmacy. But there are pitfalls you must be careful of when doing so; otherwise, you could be in for a nasty, regretful surprise.
